Larger gatherings, such as family reunions and company parties with more than 24 people require a permit.
Jump houses, also known as “Jumpers” or "Bounce houses," require an event permit, insurance and are restricted to locations specified by Park Management. Please see Plan an Event for details.
Decorating for parties and events is limited. Due to our close proximity to bay waterways, balloons are only allowed inside the Pavilion space. Use of tape on surfaces should be approved beforehand by management staff and is not allowed on the floor of the pavilion space as it damages the floor finish.
Amplified sound requires a Sound Permit from Park Management. Click here for more information about event permits and park rules + regulations which is located at the bottom of the page.
Dogs on-leashes are permitted. No “livestock” is allowed, pursuant with San Francisco City Park Code. This includes live ponies.
