The Mission Bay Parks Basketball + Volleyball courts are open once again.
Good news for sports players gets even better
As COVID-19 infection rates decline and vaccinations continue to increase, San Francisco is now allowing sports-related activities in Mission Bay Parks as of March 3, 2021.
The Mission Bay Parks Basketball and Volleyball courts may now be used when the following safety protocols and rules are followed:
- | Face masks must be worn at all times by everyone
- | No more than 12 players allowed on each court
- | No more than 3 households allowed on each court
- | Courts are available for use on a first-come basis
- | No reservation is required to play
- | Sports play activities limited to 3 hours
- | If others are waiting, limit court use to 30 minutes
Ongoing care + caution advised
San Francisco’s new guidelines require that all individuals exercise care and do their part to make these all activities as safe as possible. This includes strictly and consistently wearing Face Coverings, following Social Distancing Requirements, and all other COVID-related protocols.
People at risk for severe illness with COVID-19—such as unvaccinated older adults and individuals with health risks are urged to defer participating in activities with other people outside their household—especially in crowded spaces.
